Zantray Lakay emerged from the shared passion of volunteers and experts across San Diego. Since launching the Umoja Community Garden in City Heights six years ago, founders Davide and Aubriel have perfected a framework for long-term engagement. This blueprint now empowers other neighborhoods through mentorship and active participation, which we view as the vital spark for community resilience. Our mission is expanding into Normal Heights, Del Cerro, Spring Valley, and Encanto. Join us to help actualize and sustain this thriving local legacy.
